While not a direct contributor to the Covid-19 "crisis", Jeff Bezos profited immensely from the government shut-down of small businesses. Bezos engaged in lobbying efforts which allowed his company to operate to the exclusion of almost all other retail stores. The net effect was the loss of millions of jobs and the largest transfer of wealth in human history.
